Hardscaping/Landscaping

The clients have a large family and spend many hours outdoors. Though their outdoor space was large, it was very dated, falling apart, and had several areas of wasted space. During our consultation, we talked about a new, different brick patio, but after reading our “Let’s Get Stoned” newsletter the conversation turned to using natural stone.

A new select flagstone patio, sidewalk, and utilities area were designed. This included a sunken firepit with an EW Gold Regency seat wall, coping, and EW Gold sandblasted sawn steps. The firepit itself was constructed on a poured foundation with mortared EW Gold Random Drywall. The grill surround was moved closer to the kitchen and EW Gold Veneer was used to complete the look. The old patio, firepit area, and sidewalks were all very square. The new areas were created with many curves and soft lines. Landscaping finished the look with a mixture of Specimen Japanese Maples, unique evergreens, a mixture of Azaleas & Hydrangeas, perennials, and groundcovers.

The family loved the final results. They couldn’t wait for their first BBQ and bonfire!
