Here are a few wise sayings referring to our upcoming season…

If, in the fall of leaves in October, many of them wither on the boughs and hang there it betokens a frosty winter and much snow.

Spring rains damp
Autumn rains soak

The foliage has been losing its freshness through the month of August and here and there a yellow leaf shows itself like the first grey hair amidst the locks of a beauty who has seen one too many seasons.
